Educational Grants & Scholarships

TBS believes in the importance of a Christian-based education.  Children and young adults are exposed to many different viewpoints of the world.  Time and again, they are exposed to viewpoints that are contrary to the foundational principles of Christianity.  The Bible may not directly say that Christian education is the only way, but it does emphasize the importance of training our hearts for Christ.

Education is an investment into the hearts of children, and we at TBS believe parents should “[s]tart children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.” -- Proverbs 22:6 (NIV).  On this point, TBS understands the tremendous burden parents face when they make a difficult decision to either homeschool or send their children to Christian private schools.  To help families reduce financial burdens, TBS offers educational grants to help offset the cost of homeschooling or tuition for Christian-based private schools, and also offers merit scholarships to students who demonstrate Christian moral standards and high degree of scholastic aptitude.

Criteria and Application for Educational Grants and Scholarships

TBS uses the Poverty Guidelines of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and apply a proprietary income threshold methodology to determine the amount of grant or scholarship to award.

To be considered for a grant or scholarship to offset the cost for homeschooling or tuition at a private school for a child or children, (1) draft a justification narrative explaining the need, (2) complete the TBS Assistance Application, and (3) send the justification narrative and completed application by email to benevolence112@gmail.com.
